Favourites from the Target Spring Jewelry Collection 2014 (USA)

I get incredibly, stupidly excited when stores begin bringing in their new jewellery collections. As I’m still patiently waiting for stores like Target here to update their racks for Autumn, I’ve been looking online and noticed that Target USA had just released their line – and I was so excited to look through this too even though I know they don’t even ship to Australia!  I was actually quite surprised by the collection here as the colours and styles felt very Fall/Winter to me.
I adore the blue necklaces and stretch bracelet. Which ones do you like?????

Latest Purchases: Some Neutral Statement Necklaces

I’ve been on the lookout for a great white and silver statement necklace for the last year or so, and I’ve been looking especially hard over the summer too. As it happened I ended up coming across all four of these over the after Christmas sales!! I was particularly thrilled about finding these two pearl ones as they are both super fun as well as being rather dressy. The pearls on the black ribbon I picked up for $3!!!
As I can’t find any of these online I took pics myself. They should all be still in stores though. :)
1. This necklace was a gift but I know it’s from Myers as I helped choose it – it’s by Basque. The silver beads are so lovely and shiny and it makes such a great statement piece. It’s bigger than it looks here and is quite heavy too, although I hardly notice it when it’s on.
2. This necklace was from Diva at Melbourne Central. I’ve actually looked for it in a couple of other stores and they didn’t have it – it’s not online either. So if you’re in Melbourne, there were quite a few there. I imagine it’s new stock so hopefully it will be around if you like it. I absolutely LOVE this necklace. The pearls are a really nice white and it has glittery rhinestone beads too.

3. My $3 pearl necklace was from Target. It was in the sale racks but there were a few of them left when I bought it. It’s really pretty. It has large bobbly pearls alternating with rhinestones and black beads. I love the black satin ribbon too.
4. This was another necklace from Diva. They have it in both gold or silver findings (and I think there were some different colours too). It’s a great simple white statement necklace that is going to go with everything (it is especially pretty against solid black though). If you look below you will see my little refashion.
The necklace actually came with two strands. It sat a bit funny on me so I clipped one of them off with my jewellery pliers. I’m not sure what do do with the other strand yet. It may become a bracelet, or another necklace. :)
So if you are in Australia and looking for a neutral statement necklace I hope this might be of help. Oh and Lovisa have a few lovely white and gold ones at the moment too and there is a pretty white beaded  tassel one still at Myers (not online either I’m sorry).
I haven’t come across that many on the International sites lately to recommend unfortunately. Shop Style or The Find are great places to search for them if your interested.
I think I might do a 5 ways with a white necklace in the next few days too.
What’s your favourite style/colour of neutral necklace?
PS: The big white daisy clip in the top photo is from Lovisa. They have lots of fun daisies at the moment!

5 Holiday Party Looks (with a Little Black Dress)

5 Holiday Party Looks

I think holiday wear can be so fun. I especially love the more classic, simple looks (like Audrey Hepburn), so today I put together 5 ways to wear a little black dress for the coming weeks ahead. For my festive touches I chose metallics, winter red, emerald green, royal purple, white, pearls, snowflakes and lots of bling and sparkle.
LBD Accessories
I selected all these items from the vaults of Polyvore but most are probably for sale if you’re interested in any :)
I think I like outfit number 2 the most. I absolutely love that necklace against the black and with the red clutch it’s so dramatic.  I’d also love number 3 too.
I created these looks with winter/night in mind. If you’re like me though and have Christmas in the Summer, pairing some pink with the red I find makes the outfit feel a bit more summery – wearing white and lighter neutrals too.

Which look is your favourite?

Christmas Gift Ideas Continued: Something a Bit More Special with Najo and Tiffany’s

Here are a  few ideas for some extra special Chirstmas gifts. I have a bit of an obsession with Sterling Silver, it’s my favourite metal by far, and for me it’s always very special.  So for this guide I chose some of my favourite pieces from Tiffany’s and Najo to share.

Tiffany's

Links and Prices are from the US store but I imagine most of these would be available everywhere.
For a lot of people Tiffany’s is super special, but it doesn’t have to be ridiculously expensive – All the pieces I chose are $200 or under!

6. Bow Bracelet $175

And for everyone in Australia: Najo! My favourite!

I love all of these. I have pair similar to number 4 and they are one of my absolute staple pairs of earrings. I love the rings here and the Cute as a Button Studs too.

I’d love to find some more contemporary silver sites or brands from the States. Leave me a comment if you know of any good ones!
