I’ve been doing a bit of shopping recently and felt so excited about some of the things that I found that I felt the need to share! I always love earrings and already have way too many but here a few that I couldn’t resist. I only just realised Colette Hayman have surgical steel posts on all their stud earrings which is so awesome as my earrings are super sensitive, it’s only that and silver that I can wear (so I stocked up on heaps!)
I’m in love with this rose skirt from Myer! Such a pretty design, the perfect length and shape – it really doesn’t need much as it’s so lovely in and of itself. I love it with red and with black so I’ve just stuck to that here, choosing some simple structured pieces to complement it nicely.
The last few posts like this I made an effort to find items that were affordable and available to everyone but I’m finding this takes a ridiculous amount of time and kind of takes the fun out of it for me. This time I’ve just used items that were promoted by Polyvore, mostly insanely expensive and on other side of the world so sorry about that! Hope you enjoy the styling anyway :)
I absolutely love this Neck-Tie Blouse I found at Mango. It feels so fun even though it has that professional look to it (it almost feels like something I’d wear to work for my waitressing.) The black on white makes such a dramatic statement that I choose to leave the rest of the looks quite simple and clean so that it remained a feature. I’d love to see how it would look layered with a jumper or jacket too (I bet it would look great).
I thought I’d spend the afternoon doing a bit of online window shopping and, as usual ended up looking at mostly jewellery pages again! I’m loving to see so much turquoise about but I have to say I think my favourite here would be that feather choker – would be so pretty under a collared shirt :)
I went with a black and white theme for this week’s shopping post as I’ve been coming across so many great monochrome items lately – this houndstooth scarf, colour block bag and glitter shoes are my favourites. Even though I’m usually drawn to wearing lots of bright colour in the Spring, I still find it nice to return to black and white every so often for it’s stillness and simplicity.

Here’s both an outfit idea and shopping post in one today. Most of the shops I shop from are US based and I still find it strange shopping new season Fall fashions at Spring time – but they usually seem to work pretty well. I approached these as going out to dinner sort of looks. I know I did red and black a couple of weeks back but it really is a favourite!
