Here’s a nice simple idea for a healthy but super yummy Halloween party treat. I’ve become rather intrigued by Candy Corn lately after seeing it practically everywhere online these last couple of months. We don’t have it in Australia but I think it’s a super cute design and love seeing it used in so many different, creative ways. As tropical fruit is particularly good this time of year too (plus a favourite of mine) I thought I’d make some little fruit kebabs using the pattern. The syrup I’ve served alongside it is made from passionfruit and honey (and I liked that it looked rather creepy for the occasion too!)
I love the sense of occasion a fun, colourful stirrer can add to a drink . As halloween is coming up I thought I’d come up with a few simple ideas that would be quick and easy to make especially for the celebration. I created three (reasonably spooky) designs here that all take pretty much less than a few minutes to make. All the craft supplies used are also things you’ll probably already have laying about the house too!
I went with a black and white theme for this week’s shopping post as I’ve been coming across so many great monochrome items lately – this houndstooth scarf, colour block bag and glitter shoes are my favourites. Even though I’m usually drawn to wearing lots of bright colour in the Spring, I still find it nice to return to black and white every so often for it’s stillness and simplicity.

It’s been years since I’ve pressed and dried flowers but since our garden is completely covered with them this Spring, I thought it was about time I gave it a go again. These little blue forget-me-nots are particularly prevalent and I’ve always thought that they make the garden look like it’s covered in confetti – so I thought it would be a fun idea to try and actually make some!
Here’s both an outfit idea and shopping post in one today. Most of the shops I shop from are US based and I still find it strange shopping new season Fall fashions at Spring time – but they usually seem to work pretty well. I approached these as going out to dinner sort of looks. I know I did red and black a couple of weeks back but it really is a favourite!
